Welcome to the Physical Therapist Assistant, Class of 2005, website!
So what is Physical Therapy? Who needs it? Why is it so important?
Hopefully you will be able to find answers to these questions as well as other information about the field of Physical Therapy on our little website here.
Physical Therapy is a dynamic body of knowledge that employs modalities, manual techniques, special tests and measures to promote, prevent the loss of, and restore full functional capacity in individuals following injury, surgery, disease, or other causes which result in a loss of function.
Physical Therapy covers the full spectrum of pathologies and physical limitations with over 750,000 individuals visiting physical therapists everyday in order to return functional capabilities which may have been lost.
Function would have to be at the core of Physical Therapy, it is what Physical Therapist's and Physical Therapist Assistant's strive to do every day, return a person to their functional capacity or prevent loss of further functional abilities due to pathologies or physical limitations.
We are about Function

Just a quick little update here, I've been way busy and haven't been able to do much of anything with the site. Hopefully I will be able to put a little more time into it in the next few weeks.
A new photo album has been added called Injuries and Treatments, I am hoping to add images of injuries seen in the clinic and then have another page which will address the treatment plans used to treat the injuries.
I have more in mind as well and will try to get things going better.
We have had a lot of inquiries from PT clinics to post job opportunities and I have been trying to keep up with them as well. If you happen to inquire about a job position from the Wanna Towel Job Openings page please let them know you heard about them from Wanna Towel, some offer referral programs and I'd like to get something started to offer a scholarship or something if Wanna Towel were to receive any kind of referral bonus.
Amy Black, PTA of the University of Utah is starting a PTA In-Service Series at the U. to help PTA's expand their knowledge base in different areas. Wanna Towel will be posting upcoming in-services as they become available. For more information on current and upcoming events please click here or select PTA In-Service Series from the menu.
If you are a PT, PTA, or a Student PT or PTA and not already a member of the APTA click here to join today!
Be sure to check out the APTA Student Assembly website. They have their calendar of events up on their home page so you can keep up with what's going on.
If you want something up on the site just shoot me an e-mail - firstname.lastname@example.org
